How does the watermark work?
StitchGuard embeds a unique 8-character ID into the stitch data of every file using micro-jump sequences — a series of sub-millimeter jump commands that have zero physical effect on the fabric but are preserved in the file data.
Can the watermark be removed?
Not without destroying the design. The ID is embedded in three separate locations with error-correction and a cryptographic signature. Removing it would corrupt the file.
What if someone converts the file to another format?
The micro-jump channel survives all 5 supported formats. Future algorithm versions will add additional channels as needed.
Do buyers know they are being watermarked?
Yes — buyers see a clear consent form before downloading, explaining that the file is signed with their ID and that they are personally liable for unauthorized sharing.
